We got a call from the Zone leader and they said that I have transfers tomorrow. They also said that I am going to be a padre! which means that I am going to be a trainer!! I am so excited but a little nervous also. It feels good to know that the President trusts me enough to train another missonary! Well that is the news that I have for the week. :) So how is everything going for the family. Sounds like you are starting to remodel the house. Hahah that toilet story was so funny. haha I wish I could of been there! What is it with our family and bathrooms and bodily functions :) hahah Well all is going great here. I am a little sad to be leaving but it will be a blast to go to another area! Oh mom I have a gift for you but I dont know if you want me to sent it in the mail or what so just let me know. Oh and thank you for the pictures. I love seeing how much older everyone is getting! Oh and James I LOVE your GOAT!!! You have no clue how bad I want to grow one! The reason that I am writing right now is cause me and my companion got a call from the assistants to the president and we have special changes this Monday. I dont know if I am going to change areas or my companion but I will let you know. I heard that my companion might become a Zone Leader :) How exciting! Also I will let you know what number to call on the 25. Also I need a favor. Could you tell Jared to go to Codys house and get my x box and all the games and controllers. Then I need you to sell them on craigslist. Maybe you could have Jared check the prices on craigslist to get and idea on how much to sell it for. I am thinking like $450 more or less. I know that I need more money for my mission so anything of mine that can be sold please sell it. I also have cymbals to my drums that I don't use. The only cymbals that I want to keep are the new ones I bought. They say ZHT on them. I also want the big 22" ride that uncle rod gave me. I believe there are 4 or 5 that I want to keep. All the rest can be sold. I would greatly appreciate it if you could sell these things for me. I will be praying for you to sell Riata and my sandrail. Thank you for everything you do! I love you all so much!!! Oh also I might be getting out 70 to 80 dollars. There is a family here that doesnt have anything! Most of the time they dont have dinner so they have to eat leaves from trees. They don't have a roof to their house, just a tarp, and their walls are made of tin roofing. This lady has 5 kids under 15 and they arent getting anything for Christmas. Me and my comp decided to buy each one of them one thing. I know that I really can't afford to buy anything right now so maybe you could talk to everyone in the family and they could donate 10 dollars to my account for this family. They would make this Christmas for this family. I LOVE YOU ALL SOOOOOO MUCH and thank you for everything you do for me!!!! I just wanted to let you know that I was gonna use a little money from my account and wanted to let you know why. Thank you for everything! I can't wait to talk to you all this next week. It will make my CHRISTMAS. It is amazing how you could have everything in the world but if you didn't have your family it wouldn't mean anything. Well I better go. I LOVE YOU ALLL and muchas gracias!!!!!!

Well another week has gone by so stinken fast. This past Sunday I baptized a young boy whose parents are inactive. His name is Fabricio Jiminez. For his baptism 8 people from his family showed up and told us that they want to keep coming to church. It is amazing how a decision from an 8 year old boy has affected his whole entire family!! Well this next week we should be baptizing 6 people. I am really excited! Oh and right now we have 4 investigators that speak perfect English!!;) It is amazing how the Lord places people in your path if you are sensitive to the spirit. Well that is soosoooosooo Amazing that there were 10000 referrals from the temple. We got 6 I think but I heard another set of missionaries in our zone got 90 :) que es bien chido ( it means cool). Well here in Mexico they don't celebrate Thanksgiving so it was just another day in the mission. But I did think about you all day. Oh and I did think about the Turkey Bowl too. ;) Well all is going great here. My companion is amazing. He has taught me sooo much. Me and him have so much in common so it is really easy to get along. As for my spanish- it is coming poco o poco ( little by little) but I know that through my faith, works, and obedience the lord will bless me. Oh I am sorry about drawing out all that money. My old companion didnt help me pay for the rent, water or gas. so I had to pay for everything. I won't be pulling anymore out. I am really really sorry for doing that. Well as for Briana. That is so awesome that she is having a girl. I am so happy for her!!! Tell her congrats! Well I better get going but I love you all so much!! Oh I will find out when I can call you this Friday so I will let you know next p day. I believe I can only talk for one hour though. Well I love you all so much. Make sure you share you testimony with everyone, you never know who is ready to receive this gospel.

Well things are going great here. I got a new companion and his name is Elder Lopez. He is a really hard worker and such great example. This week we obtained 12 new investigators so hopefully in 3 weeks we will have 12 baptisms! :) Hey momma thank you for letting me know about Lorin. It is so sad and please let his family know of my regrets. It is so sad to see people pass away but that is why this gospel is so important. That is why I am out on a mission with 50,000 other young men. To proclaim this gospel and let people know that death is not the end, and that families can be together FOREVER. How great a blessing and what great comfort it can bring to a hurting soul! I am so greatful for this church and for the knowlege which we have! Please never take it for granite and make sure you share it with everyone you know, even if you you are scared or can't speak their language :) I love you all sooo much and make sure you have a wonderful thaksgiving. Make sure to remember to give thanks for the simple things in your lives. I love you all so much

How are you doing. I am doing great! Guess what, I saw Preston, Jon Arnett, and Derek Hemstreet at the Aztec Stadium this past Saturday. It was so great to see them. Oh guess what else, I got to go inside the Temple for the rededication!!!! I can't even begin to explain to you how strong the spirit was!!! I was in the same building as the prophet :) Well I get a new companion tomorrow so hopefully he will be a hard worker so we can start baptizing some people! Well yesterday we baptized another person. She is 55 years old and her name is Eva Luna. She is really amazing and has a strong spirit. Well, yesterday before her baptizm she was talking to me and started crying because she has a son who is making alot of bad decisions in his life. She said that her son doesn't love her and that breaks her heart. Well I told her that I knew her son loved her because I have have a mom who is so amazing and that I love with all my heart. I told her that her son might be making some bad desions but that he would always love his momma, and that through the gospel he could change his life. By this time both me and her were crying. Momma I just want to let you know how much I love you. You mean everything in the world to me! My family means so much to me! Always know that you are in my prayers and thoughts. Well better get going, I need to help my companion pack all his things. Please let me know if you need anything and thank you for sending that package I promise I won't open it til Christmas :) Tell bri and everyone I say hi. I love you all

I was really nervous to baptize him because i was afraid i was going to mess up the words but i did it without a mess up. People even came up to me after the baptizim and said that i had the gift of tounges because i spoke perfect spanish :) Its amazing how the Lord will help you in your time of need. Well now for a funny story. I was talking to some investigators last week and they were asking me a bunch of questions like where i was from and how many people where in my family. Well one person asked me "Esta cansado" which means are you tired. Well i said YES because we had a hard day of walking. Well to my surprise he said "Esta casado" whch means are you married :) hahaha everyone was making fun of me and my comp still wont let me live it down. Everytime we see that investigstor they ask me "Esta casado" but i make sure to answer no. Well everting else is going great. I am really lokking forward to the redediation of the Mexico temple! Mexico ready or not
We received a call from Elder Reed today on his way down to Mexico City. It was so great to listen, hear and feel of the testimony that he carries with him. Each of his brothers and sisters were able to talk with him during his layover in the Los Angeles airport. I will try and write a few of the things that he said and hopefully I will get them right. Elder Reed, I have a hard time calling him that as he is my Johnny, said he loved the MTC and the spirit that is there. He told us that while he was there he tried to learn as much as he could and that the time flew by. He was the district leader of 10 Elders and that he felt like a therapist as he would get an earful at times. He was able to give 7 blessings in his 8 weeks at the MTC. He also said that his district had many trials and that only 5 or 6 of his district is heading down to Mexico as some Elders weren't ready to go either because of physical, emotional or girlfriend problems which brought to mind the parable of the 10 virgins. He said he loved general conference and took 25 pages of notes and that it went all to fast. We ask if he sang in the choir during the priesthood session and he said that he didn't. He signed up to be in the choir but needed an Elder to go with him. He finally convinced someone in his district to go with him and during one of the practices they were to fill out a survey. He said that he was busy and didn't get the survey filled out and so he didn't get to sing in conference. He said it was all right though because he couldn't have taken any notes. During Elder Reeds flight to Los Angeles he said that he gave 1 pass along card out and he said that he wanted to give a first discussion on his way to Mexico City. (He sounds like a missionary) He bore his testimony to us in Spanish and we were all impressed as he didn't know any Spanish before he left other than a few words you pick up by living in Arizona. He said that in the MTC they said that if he was obedient that he would be able to speak Spanish fluent in 5 months. He said that he has been praying to get a native companion so that he can learn Spanish better. At the end of our phone call all the grandkids came in and ask if they could sing a song for John and than they sang "Called to Serve". We were all choked up at the power even the grandkids felt by the spirit that missionary work and the power of the gospel. We are all so grateful for Elder Reed and the spirit that he carries with him and the sacrifice he is making to bring the people of Mexico the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

MOMMA!!!!!
It is so good to hear from you. I haven't received any letters for a week so it felt so good to hear from you. That is good that someone is interested in riata. I really hope she gets sold. Oh I got called to be District leader. I was a little scared because there are some missionaries in our district that are struggling with homesickness and I didnt know what to say to them. I was praying alot and still wasn't receiving an answer. Well, on Tuesday night we had a Devotional and in the middle of the the Speakers talk the spirt came to me and said "I will fill your mouth with the right words at the right time" Well after the Devotional we had a District review about the fireside. I don't remember what I said but the spirit was there. I believe the problems of homesickness have been resloved! I am here to testify about the power of prayer!! He does hear your prayers and will answer them in his own time Isaiah 55: 8-9. I love the Lord so much! I miss you, dad and the family. But this is where I need to be! I love you all so much!! Tell Jared I love him also!

How the heck have you been? I have been great. Just learning the gospel and espanol. How has everything been going for you? How is Jared doing in school? Is he going to play football?
Well guess who talked in devotional Tuesday night? Dallin H. Oakes. It was so amazing! The spirit just filled the auditorium when he walked in! I am so thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and his atonement. Next time you go to church look as they are getting ready to bless the sacrament at the cloth draped over the bread and water. It literally represents Jesus! Always remember the sacrifice which he made for every single one of us! What a GREAT man, Our Savior! Well I am gonna go. I love you and hope to hear from ya soon.

This week has been so amazing. The spirit here is so strong! Well like I said in my last note/letter, my comp is Elder Butler. He has the sweetest spirit. Everyone in my district thinks he looks like a giant Burrly Russian. We are getting to know each other very well! My room also has two Elders in. Their names are Elder Demke and Elder Dunn. Pretty much all the Elders in my district are from Utah except for me and 2 others which are from Cali. We all get along great. I am surprised how many Elders I know here! Well my days have been super busy! I wake up at 6:30 study till 7:45 then go to breakfast. I then come back and study till its time for lunch. After lunch I go back study for a couple of hours, then have a 50 min gym time (which everyone looks forward to) then after that we go to dinner then study until 9:00 and then we have a planning session for tomorrow. After that is done we go take a shower, write in our journals then go to bed. It seems like I never have a spare moment. This has to be the most I have ever studied in my whole life! But I love it. It seems like I don't wanna put my scriptures down! I love being a missionary so much! Well I got to go but know that I think and pray for you every single day. I love you momma.
